Anton Maskowitz
Field of expertise - International Tax and Legal

Anton Maskowitz is Director of FirstRand Trustees Limited and is a key Member of the International Advisory Service’s team within FirstRand’s Wealth Segment, specialising in International Tax and Legal matters. He was a Legal Advisor at Old Mutual and Nedcor Investment Bank before joining the FirstRand Group in 2000.
Anton is an Advocate of the High Court of South Africa, a Member of the Financial Planning Institute of South Africa and a Member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners. He also holds a B COM (Law), an LLB, Higher Diplomas in Tax and International Tax and is a Certified Financial Planner.

Chantal Robertson
Field of expertise - Exchange Control

Chantal is a key Member of the International Advisory Service’s team within FirstRand’s Wealth Segment, with overall responsibility for exchange control. This includes advising a broad range of clients, both internal and external, on complex exchange control matters. Prior to this, Chantal held the position of Senior Manager in the International Tax department of PricewaterhouseCoopers, having previously spent eight years in the International Finance and Banking division of PWC International Trade Services.

Marteen Michau
Field of expertise - Fiduciary and Tax services

Marteen heads up the International Advisory Service on behalf of the FirstRand Wealth Segment. She is a fiduciary and tax specialist and has 17 years experience in the financial advice field, five of which were gained at PricewaterhouseCoopers before she joined the Group. Marteen is a qualified lawyer, an Advocate of the High Court of South Africa and a fully qualified Chartered Accountant. She also holds a B Iuris, an LLB, a Postgraduate Diploma in Accountancy and a Postgraduate Diploma in Auditing.

Rudi Bodenstein
Legal Consultant

Rudi is a Legal Consultant at FirstRand International Wealth Management Holdings Limited (FRIWM). A qualified lawyer, he has 20 years experience in private practice and vast experience in litigation, case management, trust and estate planning, contract and legal document drafting and personal and family law. From 1992 to 2008, Rudi was a Director of JWB Attorneys in South Africa, before relocating to Jersey with his family. He has been working with the Group since 2008. Rudi holds a BLC and an LLB and is an Attorney of the High Court of South Africa. He is also a Member of the Law Society of South Africa and the Law Society of Northern Provinces.
