In order to meet our aim, taking the complexity and effort out of administering your financial affairs, FirstRand Private Wealth Management provides both a Nominee and Global Custody Service.
Our Nominee Service
Through our Nominee Service, we endeavour to minimise the administrative burden typically associated with managing your investments. This Service simplifies your life in a number of ways:
- Convenience – offers a single point of contact which will handle the paperwork associated with ownership.
- Speed – investments are held electronically which means your instructions can be acted on immediately, resulting in faster settlement and payment for you.
- Records – all the necessary records will be maintained for you and valuations will be sent at least twice a year.
- Security – you will not have to worry about losing any certificates/documentation or the cost of replacing them.
- Banking – we will operate individually designated bank accounts for you with our bankers, which will help facilitate the straight through processing of investments.
Our Custodian Service
As an integral feature of the investment administration service, we offer a full Custodian Service through Royal Bank of Canada, one of the major global custodians. It offers global coverage in addition to a secure custody and safekeeping service. Royal Bank of Canada will administer trade settlement, security safekeeping, income collection, corporate actions and more.
Once the Nominee Account is established, you just need to give us an instruction and we do the rest - placing orders, completing application forms and other documentation and handling the payments. Investments are registered in the name of FirstRand PWM Nominees Limited in an individual account appropriately referenced for each client.
We receive all the communications and reports from the product providers and then present you with one consolidated picture.
